Department of Computer Science has organized a 3-day seminar on “Software Testing and Future Scope” for BCA students from 16th-18th September 2021. Mr. Almukhtar Khan, Quality Assurance, Deloitte, USI has given the training to the students in the seminar. Objective of this seminar was making students aware about the fundamentals of Software Testing and career opportunities in software testing. The seminar was started with the blessing and introductory speech by HOD Mrs. Pooja Rathi. Principal, Dr. Kuldeep Dubey also addressed the gathering and motivated the students to participate actively.
Daywise schedule of the seminar was:
- Day-1: Almukhtar Khan shared knowledge about software development, its demand and stages of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Day-2: In this session the trainer explained software testing by using case study. He discussed all stages of forms and explained by example with fields and forms like: Login, Registration and Admin etc.
- Day-3: In this session Mr. Khan explained about types of testing, advantages and disadvantages of each type. He focused on how to know the need of particular organization and expectations in related software. He discussed about the system testing, integration testing with examples.
In the 3-day seminar students have taken keen interest to learn new things. Also, each day’s training was followed by question-answer session were the Resource Person have cleared all the doubts.
The efforts of computer science department were appreciated by the Principal Dr. Kuldeep Dubey, Assistant Director Fr. Kindo and Vice Principal Dr. G.Padma Gouri. Mrs. Pooja Rathi, HOD, Computer Science, had shown her gratitude to principal, college management and participants.
The session was ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Rupali Sharma. Students reported that they have got good knowledge and this will be very helpful to solve real life problems. They were very satisfied and have demanded more such seminar in future.
